Jennifer Mickel
Hi, I’m Jenn! I’m a researcher studying social biases (both implicit and explicit) in AI systems and developing robust algorithms, frameworks, and evaluations for the development of systems that empower people without perpetuating societal harms.
I just finished my undergrad at UT Austin where I was a Dean’s Honored Graduate and studied Computer Science and Mathematics in the Turing Scholars and Polymathic Scholars honors programs and minored in African and African Diaspora Studies, Sociology, and Women and Gender Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. Currently, I’m building tools for observing LLMs at Datadog and working on research with my wonderful thesis advisors Dr. Maria De-Arteaga, Dr. Kevin Tian, and Dr. Leqi Liu
As well as working with my wondeful collobarators! (roughly in chronological order): Sina Fazelpour, Saloni Modi, Jonathan Li, Trista Cao.
If we share interests or you are interested in collaborating, feel free to reach out! My email is ja [last name] [at] utexas [dot] edu. :)
